Application form can be downloaded from our website http: www.igims.org.The cost of application form is Rs. 500/= Five hundred (Rs. 125/= One hundred Twenty Five for SC/ST candidates) payable in the form of Demand Draft in favour of Director, IGIMS, Patna. Those who download the application form must pay along-with application.
2. In addition to Pay, other allowances will be admissible as per Institute rule for regular appointment only.
3. Stay in the campus is compulsory if accommodation is provided.
4. Reservation point and Relaxation in upper age limit will be applicable as per reservation rule of Govt. of Bihar. Benefit of reservation will be given to Bihar State domicile only and the applicant out- side the State of Bihar will not be entitled for the benefit of reservation. Persons working in Govt. Institution shall be given age relaxation of five years.
5. Employees of Government/Semi Government department must apply through proper channel with NOC. In case of advance application “No Objection Certificate” must be submitted at the time of interview failing which they will not be allowed to appear in the Interview. Employed candidates if selected shall furnish discharge certificate from the previous employer before joining this offer.
6. Application form and requisite fee for each post should be submitted separately.
7. Number of Post may increase or decrease as per discretion of the Institute.
8. The applications completed in all respect along with self attested photocopies of certificates/testimonials and recent passport size photograph as well as requisite fee must reach by registered/speed post/courier to the Director, IGIMS, Sheikhpura, Patna-14 (Bihar) on or before 15.12.2011 till 03.30 P.M. The incomplete application and application received after last date will not be considered. Institute will not be responsible for postal delay.9. Handicapped candidates will be given the benefit of reservation & relaxation as per rule.
10. SC/ST candidate must attach their caste certificate duly issued/counter signed by the concerned Circle Officer along with application form and MBC/OBC candidate must attach their caste certificate along with certificate of exemption from creamy layer duly issued/counter signed by the concerned Circle Officer with their application form, if claiming for the benefit of reservation.
11. Candidate must write Advertisement No. and Name of the Post applied for on the top of envelope in bold letter.
12. The Director of the Institute reserves the right to accept or reject any or all applications without assigning any reason.
13. Canvassing in any form will be disqualification.

15. (a) Persons appointed on contract basis against “C” (Contractual appointment) will not be treated Institute regular employee and they will not be entitled for any facilities payable/applicable for the regular employees of the Institute.
(b) Persons appointed on contract will neither claim nor their claim will be acceptable for any regular appointment on the basis of their contract appointment.
16. Selected candidates for regular appointment shall be appointed initially for 11 months oncontractual basis and thereafter put on 02 years probation. They will only be regularized if their performance and conduct during this period is found satisfactory by the Institute administration.
IGIMS was established on 19th November 1983, as an autonomous organisation on the pattern of All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. The objective was to provide super specialty medical facilities in Bihar. On 27th January 1983 Cabinet approved the completion of this massive project in 4 phases within a span of six (6) years. According to the decision of State Government, 130.20 Acres of land was transferred to IGIMS. It was proposed that the hospital will be completed by 1990 with a capacity to house 1000 beds. The estimated cost was 110 Crore rupees which was later revised to 133 crores .
